Ok, so I wouldn’t know a Manolo Blahnik from a Birkenstock, but I went shoe shopping today and rather enjoyed it. I was looking for a new pair of running shoes, something with just a touch more stability than my last few pairs. I’ve tried Mizuno, Nike and Brooks since I started running last year and wound up with a new pair of Mizunos today, the Wave Elixir 3s…ooooooooooooooh 🙂 At just over 9oz they’re lighter than my previous shoes and a bit lower to the ground. Hopefully they’ll do the trick. Oh, and the best part is, they come with bright red laces! I don’t think I have ever owned a pair of shoes in my life with red laces, so this is a red…letter…day…sorry.

That pun makes me think you’ve been hanging out with Charlie….
I won’t blame Charlie for this one, my dad was doing bad puns while I was still in the womb. He even read to me while I was floating around in there, although apparently it was Westerns which might explain why to this day I can’s stand Westerns…unless they’re on toast 🙂 Oops, I just did it again.

Mizuno is nice but nothing beats Saucony for a running shoe check em here http://www.saucony.com/Country_Selector.aspx
Thanks, that’s great to hear and very much appreciated!
I’ve heard great things about Saucony, and every time I go shoe shopping I try a pair, but every time I find them too wide in the front. My foot just doesn’t feel tight enough in them, whereas the Mizunos give me a very snug fit. As I do more miles I’ll keep checking. I would eventually like to try a pair.
Cheers,
Chris
