This assumes they can get the film off the ground. Isn’t a failure to launch why the previous director quit?
I think the hold-up has more to do with MGM which retains some rights, but is on the brink of bankruptcy. It sounds like once that is resolved the movies are a go. It’s too big a money-maker to let it lay dormant much longer, and it makes sense that Jackson could be back at the helm for these two. I wouldn’t complain.
